How to use Structured BloggingWe currently offer two Structured Blogging plugins, for popular blogging platforms Movable Type and Wordpress. Using these plugins makes it easy to create, edit, and maintain different kinds of posts. It is very similar to a default edit form on a blog – except that the added structure will let you add specific styles to each type, plus add links and pictures for reviews. Once you've installed the Wordpress or MT plugin, go to the 'Write' or 'New Entry' screen and select the post type you want to do:
The post type you select will have specific fields and options in it. This ensures that when published, movie and book reviews don't look like calendar or journal entries. It also means each content type can be quickly recognized and processed by automated search services and other applications – for example an Album reviews aggregator. Here's an example of what a restaurant review looks like when published. It's from Conor O'Neill's blog and he wrote up this review using the Wordpress Structured Blogging plugin:
